Affective Purpose: to develop everyday exchanges in conversation.
Linguistic Purpose: to describe people´s routine; to search for information.
Suggested size of groups: Pair work.
Material: Pictures, sets of questions.
Duration: 15 minutes.
Procedure: a) Divide the class into pairs and hand out the pictures and sets of questions.
b) A student starts by asking the questions on the handout. Or he/she may ask his/her own questions, trying to find out what the person in the picture does. The other student can only answer "Yes" or "No".
c) Then, they swap and change sides so that the interviewer becomes the interviewee.
