6th grade Activity - Telling an everyday story

Level: basic
Aims: to use one´s imagination to divide the story sequence.
Linguistic: to use the present and to write a story.
Suggested size of groups: groups of four.
Material: Sets of pictures showing a sequence with some words to help students write a short story.
Duration: 45 minutes.
Procedure: The teacher presents a set of pictures and asks the class to create a story after putting them into a logical sequence. This should be done to emphazise the students´ability to work in groups. Each picture has at least one word to help the students with their stories.
Divide the class into groups of four.
Give each group a set of pictures.
Ask each group to put the pictures into a logical sequence.
Students should create and then write down their own stories according to the sequence presented.
The teacher should ask one of the students in each group to tell their story by using the present tense to do so.
